Understanding Personal Stances on Religion: The Relevance of Organizational Behavior Variables

This paper develops a framework for analyzing two personal stances on religion—Adherence to Religion and Autonomy from Religion. We propose that the are independent constructs rather than opposite poles of same continuum. Each stance is conceptualized as higher-order construct, with different first-order measures motivations, beliefs perceptions.
